Four segments.
One goal:

High-yielding seeds

A robust overall result despite lower acreage, record sales for sugarbeet, and a strategic repositioning in corn.

Corn

  • The corn segment was characterized by the completed divestment of the corn business in South America and by the recent divestment of the corn business in North America, which was finalized at the beginning of 25/26.
  • Conditions were challenging for European corn cultivation in the past growing season, which led to a decline in cultivated land.
  • Lower sales volumes in North America and a positive one-off effect in the previous year also contributed significantly to the decline in the segment result.

Vegetables

  • The main driver of the significant sales growth in the vegetable segment is the spinach seed business, which accounts for around two thirds of segment sales.
  • EBITDA decreased as planned due to high expenses for the long-term expansion of our market position for vegetable seeds, such as the construction of a new R&D center in Andijk, the Netherlands.
